A festival of arts, heritage and music celebrating the City of Newburgh with live music and the Marketplace at Downing Park, Saturday June 22nd from 11am-7pm! A professional craft show highlighting Newburgh's artisan,craft,authors, and shopkeepers! Wondering what to do every Wednesday evening throughout the summer? Well, grab your lawn chair, some comfortable dancing shoes, maybe even a picnic basket and join us at one of the City parks when you will be entertained by local musicians who have volunteered to play during the 2013 season of Music in the Parks. The long-awaited entertainment on a hot, summer evening when residents can listen to popular hits including country and from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s era kicked off May 29 when The Ben Rounds Band performed to a crowd at Academy Green.

Mayor Gallo commented, “I am pleased that we were able to secure such an array of musical talent and venue of different listening pleasures under the coordination of Craig Williams of BWS Entertainment who volunteered to recruit the line-up for this year’s music series. In addition, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Employees Association generously donated the sound system for each segment. The City Trolley will be providing transportation for seniors who are unable to get to the parks. City residents requiring transportation to the concerts are urged to call 331 3725.”

July 3 at Gallo Park—Performers to be announced; July 10 at Forsyth Park—Vince Fisher and Friends; July 17 at Cornell Park—Performers to be announced; July 24 at Academy Green—Professor Louie & The Crowmatix with guests; July 31 at Dietz Stadium—Kristen Capolino;

August 7 at Gallo Park—The Ben Rounds Band; August 14 at Forsyth Park—Performers to be announced; August 21at Cornell Park—Carl Mateo; August 28 at Academy Green—Passero.
